01 / The idea

A connection worth making.

There are people building interesting things on both sides of the Atlantic. Let’s make it easier to find each other, starting with a conversation in Paris.

01

People, beyond profiles

Meet founders, engineers, product people and researchers with a shared curiosity. A few useful introductions can go a long way.

02

Experience, across borders

Compare notes on building, working and finding your place between France and Canada. The practical stuff, and the human stuff.

03

Projects, with possibilities

Talk about what you’re making, what you’re exploring and where another perspective could help. Maybe find your next collaborator.

02 / First gathering

Small on purpose.

For the first gathering, we’re imagining a quiet place, a small group and enough time to actually talk. Help us choose the format.

A note from Raph

I’m Raphaël, a Canadian living in Paris and the host of Bière & Code. I’m also a Senior Developer & Evangelist at Defang and the creator of the Simple Agent Manager. I’d like to bring together people with a connection to tech, France and Canada, without making a big production of it. This first meetup is a place to start.

A few things to know

Do I need to be Canadian or French?+

No. A connection, an interest or a little curiosity is enough. You don’t need a particular passport or job title.

French or English?+

Both are welcome. Speak whichever feels natural; we’ll make room for everyone to join the conversation.

Is this a conference?+

No stage or packed agenda is planned. This is a small, casual first gathering. Short stories or demos are options if people want them.

When and where?+

Still to be decided. We’ll use your interest and preferences to shape a first date and venue in Paris. Registering interest is not a confirmed RSVP.

03 / Get involved

Be part of the first conversation.
